Hosting Quick Start Guide

Welcome to One&OnlyHost and thank you for choosing our Shared Hosting service! This guide will walk you through the basics so you can start setting up your website quickly and easily.

Accessing Your Hosting Panel

After purchasing your shared hosting package, you'll receive a Welcome Email with your login details for the One&OnlyHost Hosting Panel at my.oaohost.com .
Here, you can view key account information, including:

  • Your username

  • Nameserver details

  • Server name

  • Account IP address

  • Primary domain name

Configuring Your Nameservers

For your website to work correctly, your domain must point to our nameservers.
To do this, update your domain's DNS settings with the nameservers provided in your Welcome Email.

Managing Your Website

cPanel Accounts

If your hosting plan includes cPanel, you can log in to manage all aspects of your site — from files to email accounts. See our cPanel Login Guide for details.

Hosting Panel Management

Some hosting plans allow you to manage your website directly from the Hosting Panel at my.oaohost.com , without a separate cPanel login. For details, see Managing Your Site in the Hosting Panel .

Accessing Your Account

You can connect to your hosting account via:

  • SSH (Secure Shell) – For secure command-line access.

  • FTP (File Transfer Protocol) – To upload and manage files.

Setting Up Email

cPanel

Create and manage email accounts from your cPanel dashboard. See Setting Up Email in cPanel .

Publishing Your Website

To make your site live, upload your files to the public_html directory.

  • Files outside public_html will not be publicly accessible.

  • You can update files anytime by re-uploading them to public_html.
