The User Manager in cPanel allows you to create, edit, and delete subaccounts for services such as:
FTP
Web Disk
Important: Subaccounts can only access these services. They cannot log in to or access the main cPanel account.Log in to cPanel

Jupiter theme: Go to Preferences → User Manager .![]()
Paper Lantern theme: In the Preferences section, click User Manager .
Click Add User .
Enter Basic Information
Name: Display name for the subaccount.
Username: The account username.
Domain: Select the domain for the account.
Full usernames are in the format
username@example.com.
Contact Email Address: Where account notifications and password reset emails will be sent.
Set Security Information
Choose whether you set the password or the user sets their own.
If setting it yourself, enter the password twice or use the Generate option for a secure password.
This password applies to all enabled services (email, FTP, Web Disk) for the subaccount.
Enable Services
Email: Turn on the slider and set a mailbox quota.
FTP: Turn on the slider, set storage quota, and select the home directory.
Web Disk: Turn on the slider, set the home directory, and choose permissions.
Click Create .
Log in to cPanel and open User Manager .
Find the subaccount you want to modify.
To change the password, click Change Password .
To edit other settings, click Edit , make your changes, and click Save .
Log in to cPanel and open User Manager .
Locate the subaccount and click Delete .
Confirm the deletion by clicking Delete again.
Important: Deleting a subaccount permanently removes all associated email messages. Back up any important emails before proceeding.
